This is No Rules Scale and could mean creating tiny pieces, rectangular strips or abstract shapes! Anything that takes you out of your default scale setting, if you have one!
I definitely do... For 30 years I have worked to a specific sample size for my sample designs and I find it so hard to break out of this...So I'm looking forward to pushing the boundaries of scale with you all during this prompt.
Scale can also provide the most incredible differences within our work.
Rethink the Dots, Stripes or Grids prompts through the lens of Scale and mix up different scales within each piece.
What about including different scales of techniques within a piece? Maybe arm knitting with tiny fine knit. Or huge stitches with those the size the Richard McVetis uses?
What about scale in collage, let your imagination go wild! Make it totally surreal and dream like...
