Who is this course for?

  • This course works brilliantly for beginners, who love the idea of experimental patchwork

  • It is equally inspirational for textile artists seeking to free up their practice

  • The patchwork that you create can be used in textile collage, as textile art, as details in dressmaking/interiors or used as exciting pieces for quilts.

  • The ideas and processes can also be transposed into different mediums.

Watch 'over my shoulder' as I create these samples and talk you through my design and thought process.

"Loved this course! The informality of Jayne’s approach completely appeals to me – superb video lessons, really well presented and comprehensible, giving me exactly what I needed to free up the idea of what patchwork could be. Since following the course I have completed a number of small projects.Had the best and most engrossing fun, making all sorts of other discoveries along the way and keeping myself boundlessly happy during lockdown. If you’re wondering about doing the course, then go go go I loved it. "

"I really enjoyed this course. It is a very creative dive into patchwork which brings out so many ideas. Jayne is an excellent teacher, her examples are wonderful, her instruction is lively and clear and it is so much fun to ditch the rules in No Rules Patchwork. You are able to work through each section at your own pace with videos and helpful links which you can return to at any time as you have unlimited time to complete the course. I would recommend any of Jayne’s courses."

"If you are scared about doing patchwork then this course will show you the no rules way to create exciting and unusual patchwork pieces. Jayne makes learning fun and easy, her samples are amazing and she teaches you how to produce patchwork in lots of ways from traditional practice to combining experimental techniques. Each section has videos with lots of supporting images and helpful links. As with all Jaynes courses you have life time access so can go at your own pace and return to the videos which is great. I have thoroughly enjoyed this course and learnt so much."
